Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at kccommercialrefrigeration.com (the "Site") operated by KC Commercial Refrigeration. By using the Site, calling the phone number displayed on the Site, or submitting a request through the Site, you agree to these Terms.
Service request website — not a contractor
KC Commercial Refrigeration operates a commercial refrigeration service request website that routes requests to local independent providers across the Kansas City metro. KC Commercial Refrigeration is not itself the contractor performing the repair work. Any service contract you enter into is between you and the dispatched provider.
Independent providers and rates
Independent local providers routed to commercial refrigeration requests are independent businesses that set their own service offerings, rates, and trip or diagnostic fees. Unless otherwise stated, the customer pays the dispatched provider directly for service performed. Any warranty on parts, labor, or workmanship is provided by the dispatched provider, not by KC Commercial Refrigeration.
No guarantee of availability or response time
We do not guarantee that a provider will be available for any particular request, and we do not guarantee a specific response time, on-site arrival window, or emergency availability. Provider availability depends on capacity, equipment type, urgency, location, time of day, documentation requirements, and facility access requirements.
No food-loss or product-loss guarantee
Refrigeration failures can result in product loss, food-safety decisions, business interruption, and other losses. KC Commercial Refrigeration does not insure against, indemnify, or guarantee any product loss, food-safety outcome, or business interruption arising from a refrigeration failure or from the timing or scope of a routed service request.
Facility responsibility
The facility is responsible for its own temperature logs, food-safety decisions, product disposition, and health-department compliance. The Site is not legal, insurance, health-code, or compliance advice. Decisions about continuing to operate, holding, or discarding product remain with the facility and the appropriate health authority.
Refrigerant certification
Refrigerant work involving recovery, recycling, or recharging of regulated refrigerant is governed by the EPA's Section 608 program. For refrigerant-handling work, ask the dispatched provider to confirm Section 608 certification appropriate to the work before service is scheduled. KC Commercial Refrigeration does not perform refrigerant work directly.
Commercial refrigeration only
The Site and the service request line are exclusively for commercial refrigeration equipment. We do not handle residential refrigerators, home freezers, residential ice makers, residential HVAC, residential heat pumps, automotive air conditioning, RV or boat refrigeration, or any other residential appliance work.
Service area limits
The published service area covers the Kansas City metro on both the Kansas and Missouri sides — specifically Wyandotte and Johnson counties on the KS side and Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Cass counties on the MO side. Requests outside this footprint may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed to be routed.
Information accuracy
You agree that any information you provide through the Site or by phone — including facility name, contact details, equipment information, and failure description — is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Inaccurate information may delay or prevent effective routing of your request.
Site content, brand names, and intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and code, is the property of KC Commercial Refrigeration or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission. Brand names referenced on the Site (Heatcraft, Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, Master-Bilt, and others) are the property of their respective owners and are referenced solely for equipment-identification purposes. No manufacturer affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship is implied.
Third-party links and services
The Site may contain links to third-party services or websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site and the service request line are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KC Commercial Refrigeration disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to product loss, food-safety outcomes, business interruption, or lost profits — arising from or relating to your use of the Site or any service request routed through the Site.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri.
Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
